Tips for Unit 5 Assignments

When writing assignments, please keep to the required word count. Only write what you need to, as there is a maximum to the number of words that are allowed.

  • 5.1 Yin Yang assignment - Make sure you talk about different aspects of Yin and Yang within the given picture. Try to push beyond just listing Yin and Yang qualities, show how items can cover both aspects in relation to each other! Don't forget to write a piece covering the four principles of Yin and Yang, use the study guide to help you. It may be beneficial to do this first so you have a better understanding in how to describe the picture assignment.

  • 5.2 Meridian assignment - When writing this please try and relate the meridian system and associated elements such as acupuncture points to Shibashi postures and your everyday experiences. Be careful not to just list what the study guide says, try to make it your own. Level 2 - Drop Down Questions/Worksheet. Take care when answering these questions, perhaps it may be useful to have the study guide at hand when you read through.

  • 5.3 Qi assignment -

Level 2 : Drop down questions. It may be useful to have the study guide open when you attempt these questions.

Level 3 - Please draw on the main points and principles behind Qi theory. The general aim of this assignment is for you to contrast to conventional thinking about the body and try to relate this to Shibashi movements. The format is a list of questions that you need to answer. Please stick to the questions and do not exceed the word limit.

You may want to consider:
